Established in 1990, the York Entertainment video label was acquired by Loose Cannon Films in 2004. A Los Angeles-based DVD distributor, Loose Cannon acquires and distributes feature films for the domestic home entertainment marketplace. With 30-50 new films each year being released, Loose Cannon's diverse library of Urban, Horror, Action, and Comedy titles numbers over 200, and continues to expand. Distributed nationally by Ingram Entertainment, VPD & Baker & Taylor, York's product fills retail shelves in all major outlets, including Wal-Mart, Blockbuster, and Hollywood Video, in both rental and sell-through formats. Internet based distribution also provides alternative purchasing methods via mail order (Netflix.com, Amazon.com, Yorkentertainment.com) and instant download (CinemaNow.com).
